Director of Nursing Job Details:

  • Hours - Full-Time
  • Quarterly Bonus Incentive-Up to $10,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Director of Nursing completed initial assessment of prospective clients requesting an assessment and develops a proposed service plan prior to the date on which a client signs a residency agreement or moves in, if possible.
  • Implements service agreements with all new clients.
  • Reviews and revises service plans as needed due to changes in clients' needs and a minimum of once every 12 months.
  • Oversee medication management protocols, including storage, administration, and disposal.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and unlicensed personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and industry standards for resident care.
  • Conducts evaluation of staff performance of delegated nursing services in coordination with the housing manager through appropriate documentation and consistent with personnel policies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and families to address resident health concerns.
  • Promotes a positive, team approach and a healthy work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Registered and licensed RN in the State of Minnesota, license must be current.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in home health, assisted living or long-term care supervising staff.
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to tasks
