The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Quality Lead to work at our sauces, and pickles processing facility in Holland, MI.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to stand during an 8 to 12-hour shift
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Prior Quality lead experience is preferred

Monday-Friday, including some weekends 2:00pm-10:30pm

  • Products: Vinegar, BBQ Sauces, Relish, Pickles, Mustard
  • The Holland plant is one of the oldest plants in the company and has been operating since 1897. Although, locally known as the "pickle factory", currently pickles only make up 5% of the total production. In 2016 the factory installed grey poupon mills to allow the production of its iconic mustard.

Job Overview:

This position will consist of daily activities of analytical, statistical, and finished goods inspectors, assuring proper methods are begin used. Oversee work of full-time quality checkers. A successful candidate in this role is a fast learner, likes to observe and recommend changes to improve their jobs. This is an ideal job for somebody looking for long term career with a stable, reputable company.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Must learn the safe and proper operation of the packaging filling equipment.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor, Team Leader, or Line Technician.
  • Performing Good Sanitation Practices (GSP's) when handling equipment.
  • Assist in scheduling and training QA employees.
  • Advise all departments in interpretation of QA data.
  • Coordinate with Production and T&W personnel for product holds, sampling and testing, disposition and release of holds.
  • Collect, prepare, package and complete paperwork for samples to Headquarters QA, Canada, suppliers, customers, and potential customers.
  • Collect, prepare for shipment, track Nutritional Analysis samples for Headquarters QA.
  • Maintain and update line sheets, process sheets, notices of pack, recipes, spice mixes, etc. as required.
  • Maintain inventory of chemicals, testing solutions, etc. and order as needed.
  • Issue recipes to Process Control and 3er. Floor Production Department assuring correct recipes are in use.
  • Perform daily analytical prechecks and make recipe adjustments when necessary.
  • Perform standardization and maintenance on equipment. Prepare solutions for testing and bacteriological culturing.
  • Accurately prepare various forms, correspondence, and reports by using typewriter, computer, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Quality Risk Management Program (QRMP) as assigned.
  • Perform review and grant approval of incoming ingredients.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly working area and follow safe practices. Report issues to supervisor.
