What is the opportunity?

The Advisory Programs - Product Analyst is responsible for providing analysis to aid in making informed business decisions and support the implementation of projects across the Advisory Programs platform. This includes working with Advisory Program Product Managers, Advisory Operations, internal Business Technology Group (BTG), Information Technology (IT), internal business partners, and external vendors to ensure initiatives progress to completion.

What will you do?

  • Gather, analyze and present data to aid in the resolution of issues, support the strategy and goals of the department and drive projects forward.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert between the Advisory Team, Operations, technology staff, third party vendors and internally built solutions.
  • Partner with team members to provide internal and field facing reporting and dashboards to help managed profitability and risk across the firm.
  • Support Product Managers in managing the product line in ad-hoc quantitative analysis of products (e.g., profitability, asset growth, revenue, expense, market share and segmentation, program features, etc.).
  • Partner with Product Consulting and other advisory team members providing data support to deliver educational campaigns, training programs and dashboards for Branch Managers, Financial Advisors (from interns to seasoned) and Client Associates to help them transition and build wealth management businesses using fee-based solutions.
  • Define key metrics & create reporting to evaluate the success of the business, team, new features/capabilities and project effectiveness.
  • Analyze the impact of new applications or application modifications on existing platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure and improve data availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, compile and analyze data quickly and independently and communicate that data in order to influence and support decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong detail-oriented contributor with high motivation, ability to take the initiative, set priorities and work on unstructured tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Possesses a natural curiosity and are a critical thinker and problem solver with a good understanding of technology, operations, sales and marketing.
  • Understanding of SQL and data software such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Nice-to-have

  • BA/BS in business, finance, math, or related field with 3 - 5 years of securities or financial markets experience.
  • Strong understanding of fee-based platforms and Financial Advisor needs.
  • Willingness to aggressively learn new skills and adapt to new technologies in a short time period.
  • Experience working with an agile product delivery team.
  • Knowledge and understanding advisory fee-based business
  • Series 7, 63 and 65, or 66 license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
