Project Manager - Diesel Systems

Job Functions:

Job Summary
The position is to lead multiple projects as assigned in close coordination with account / program management. This position will execute projects in adherence to strict budget, schedule, and scope as outlined in the customer contract.
Job Functions (Essential)
  1. Manage projects from order to close out: Project scope and goal definition, work break down structure, scheduling, risk management and commercial management
  2. Lead a cross functional project team. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  3. Set and continually manage project expectations with both internal and external customers, effectively communicate project expectations in a timely and clear fashion.
  4. Proactively manage project scope changes, crises and risks and create contingency and mitigation plans.
  5. Prepare and deliver project progress reports (schedule, cost vs. budget, risks, tasks, etc.) to executive management
  6. Prepare, support, and lead regularly scheduled project meetings.
  7. Determine the frequency and content of status meetings and reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  8. Identify potential additional revenue opportunities within the project
  9. Define project success criteria and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle, with the ability work across multiple departments.
  10. Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  11. Support during sales process
  12. Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.
  13. Promote a compliance culture in areas of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Global Code of Conduct.
  14. Perform special tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Required:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 5 years of experience in engineering or project management or 9 years of experience in engineering or project management.
  2. Self-driven and organized
  3. Excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles as it applies to power generation.
  4. Excellent computer skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  6. Excellent knowledge and ability to communicate in building construction situations involving M/E Contractors, Design Engineers, and Commissioning Engineers.
  7. Excellent ability to read project plans, electrical and mechanical drawings and all related schematics.
  8. Excellent ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously.
  9. Flexibility - ability to work under tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management skills.
  10. Willingness to travel internationally
  11. Passport Required

Preferred:
  1. Knowledge with ACAD and Windchill
  2. Knowledge with MS Project
  3. Experience with IEC electrical drawings
  4. Experience with large data center projects
