PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

As an Account Manager for the Consumer Market at Dyneema, you will play a pivotal role as a key contributor in driving the growth of our business. You'll be responsible for providing sales expertise across a diverse portfolio of customers on a global scale, focusing on strategic planning, organizing, and executing sales activities to achieve sales growth and penetrate accounts. Additionally, you will actively seek out and acquire new accounts and chain partners to expand Dyneema's presence in the consumer market.

JOB CONTEXT:

As an Account Manager for the Consumer Market at Dyneema, you will operate within a dynamic and competitive industry landscape. The role involves engaging with diverse clients globally, ranging from established accounts to potential partners. You will work closely with the global sales and marketing teams, collaborating on strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and enhance Dyneema's market presence. This position offers the opportunity to influence the direction of Dyneema's consumer market strategy and contribute to the company's overall success in a rapidly evolving market environment.

JOB CONTENT:

Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility

1. Develop and execute strategic account plans to effectively manage and grow important accounts within the consumer market segment.

2. Drive demand creation and capture through proactive sales initiatives and innovative marketing strategies.

3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the client organization, from top leadership to operational teams.

4. Collaborate closely with the global sales and marketing teams to align efforts and achieve shared marketing and sales objectives.

5. Utilize market insights and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product development and service enhancement.

6. Regularly monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and identify areas for improvement to optimize sales effectiveness.

7. Act as a brand ambassador for Dyneema, promoting the company's values, products, and services to both existing and prospective clients.

8. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and insights to support business decision-making processes.

SHE and Security:

* Show behavior in line with the SHE and Security risks and agreed controls, including being compliant to Avient Protective Materials requirements, rules and procedures

* Address any person behaving in a SHE and Security irresponsible way

* Report any SHE and Security incidents (including observed risks) to management #LI-CB1, #LI-Remote

COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB:

  • Operate in a global organization and market with different cultures.
  • Set up, coordinate & execute specific Accounts tactics & plans to realize pre-defined/agreed sales and overall customer relationship objectives, both for the short- and long-term.
  • Transactions business with some project & pipeline development around applications & product modifications; projects have a limited complexity
  • Accounts are primarily regional focused, and includes at least one large or major account.
  • Define and implement a strategic account plan. Translate into Financial profitability and goals both strategically and tactically and be accountable for top-line profit and gross margin.
  • Contribute to develop the global sales team plan tactically.
  • Responsible for key stakeholder management to speed up opportunities and build successful sales growth within their accounts.
  • Identify long term business opportunities with the account(s) and include these in the account strategy and plan.
  • Monitor and benchmark competitive products, market requirements and competitive business strategies (competitive profiling) and incorporate benchmarking and competitive profiling in account and sales plans.
  • Lead contract negotiations with the respective account(s) and ensure the conclusion of sales contracts.
  • Effectively communicating and coordinating account activity across global cross-functional teams including Sales, ADTS, Finance, Legal, Operations and Marketing.
  • Monitor the complaint process and ensure an appropriate complaint settlement with the account within the agreed timeline.
  • Monitor the account's payment behavior and take action to ensure payment within the agreed payment terms.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management, preferably within the consumer market segment.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, account management principles, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

REQUIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCES:

  • Experienced sales or marketing professional with greater than 5 years of successful track record in similar roles.
  • Entrepreneurial sales professional who proactively develops business with his/her customers, actively prospects, and masters all key selling and negotiation techniques.
  • Customer leader who thoroughly understands customer's needs, establishes privileged relationships, and actively influences their innovation and purchasing decisions
  • Energetic driver who pushes himself/herself and the account team to deliver ambitious results, is perseverant, well organized, and also communicates convincingly internally and externally.
  • Effective business person who displays strong business acumen to strategically develop and manage his/her key accounts.
