Daikin is looking for a Senior Benefits Administrator to join our team! The Retirement Benefits Administrator is responsible for leading the administration of the Company's retirement plans. You will serve as the primary resource to a diverse employee population for information and education about the Company's retirement plans while fostering a positive customer service environment. Specifically, the administrator will be primarily responsible for the administration of the Company's ERISA qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. You will assist with the creation, implementation, day-to-day administration and legal compliance of the Company's retirement offerings and products which provide benefits to employees across multiple, diverse subsidiary companies.

A Day in the Life:

    • Administers the day-to-day operations of the 401(k), RRSP and deferred compensation plans.
    • Consolidates payroll data and reconciles match on a weekly basis and prepares the weekly funding of contributions. Research and resolve contribution matters.
    • Manages non-qualified plan distributions.
    • Responsible for plan support as a subject matter expert to the Company committee overseeing the plans and participating employees on all plan procedures including eligibility, enrollment, rollovers, beneficiary designations, early distributions, required minimum distributions, death notifications.
    • Ensures compliance testing, audit, and required notices are handled timely and accurately.
    • Coordinates and prepares data for testing, auditing, and annual funding. Partners with internal departments such as Tax and Payroll to provide, as needed, information and data for internal and external reporting.
    • Interface with and participate in scheduled meetings with appropriate plan vendors and providers to ensure adherence to plan provisions, provide feedback on services, initiate, and follow up on necessary administrative or procedural changes, and employee communications.
    • Participate in M&A due diligence and review of 401(k) impact resulting from purchase or sale.
    • Assist with complex plan issues including corrections, legal concerns, amendments, mergers and acquisitions.
    • Ensure the retirement plan documents are always updated and legally compliant.
    • Executes the implementation of retirement plan changes.
    • Manages production and mailing of annual plan notices.
    • Coordinate with programmers for integration file matters.
    • Coordinate to ensure that transfers within controlled group companies are handled properly.
    • Assists with the production of employee benefits statements, including verification of integrity of data provided to third party vendor.

What you will Bring:

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR or related field
    • 4 years of progressive HR experience

Preferred

    • CEBS, RPA, SPHR, or PHR certification
    • 6 years of related experience
