Training Specialist - Only candidates with a resume or complete previous and current work experience will be considered.

The Training Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for employees working in various roles within our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for training and development, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of human and food safety regulations, and manufacturing processes.

Shift hours:

  • Work schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday
    • Weekends as needed to meet business needs.
  • Primary working hours will be 7:30am to 4pm.
    • Must be willing to flex time to come in early or stay late to support off shift crews.
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay:

  • $22.71 per hour
  • $500 bonus payable at 90 days

What your day will look like:

  • Develop and implement training programs for employees in various areas within the manufacturing plant, including new hire orientation, job-specific training, and ongoing skills development.
  • Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop appropriate curriculum and materials.
  • Conduct training sessions using a variety of methods, including presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive activities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee performance to track progress and compliance.

What you have to offer:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of experience in developing capabilities in others
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve individual skills
  • Desire to continuously seek outside perspective on technology
  • Ability to embrace and learn new technology

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree
  • Knowledge of processing and packaging manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in the creation, administration, and maintenance of technology driven solutions
  • Connected worker or similar platforms.
  • Project management experience
  • Strong results orientation
  • Technical aptitude

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
