Job Description

As the Clerkship Coordinator, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the day-to-day coordination of medical educational activities for 3rd and 4th-year medical students in our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Collaborating closely with the Clerkship Director and/or Associate Director, your efforts will ensure the seamless functioning of our clerkship program. Your role is pivotal in driving the success of our medical education initiatives. By adeptly managing operations, nurturing collaboration, and upholding regulatory standards, you will actively shape the educational journeys of aspiring medical professionals.

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the clerkship program, overseeing activities for medical students rotating through obstetric, gynecologic, and gynecologic oncology services.
* Coordinate scheduling and logistics for student rotations, ensuring optimal exposure to a diverse range of patient cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Facilitate lectures and interactive case presentations to enrich students' learning experiences.
* Serve as a liaison and facilitator between learners, faculty, staff members, and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
* Provide support and guidance to students throughout their clerkship experience, addressing any logistical or educational needs that may arise.
* Collaborate with the Clerkship Director and/or Associate Director to implement enhancements and improvements to the clerkship curriculum.
* Maintain compliance with LCME standards and requirements, contributing to the ongoing accreditation of the medical education program.
* Orient students at the beginning of rotations.
* Schedule meetings, lectures, and all student activities during rotations.
* Coordinate teaching and simulation schedules with faculty.
* Manage educational materials.
* Maintain effective communication with faculty, students, and staff.
* Purchase and proctor in-service exams.
* Process student grades after each rotation.
* Prepare reports and PowerPoint presentations for director meetings.
* Monitor and optimize the quality of rotations, including accommodations and learning environments.
* Create and monitor faculty lecture evaluations.
* Manage the Clerkship Director's calendar.
* Ensure continuous compliance with LCME standards.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.72 - $21.00

Grade: GGS-006
