Job Summary

The New Product Integration Manager (Principal Engineer)is responsible for the execution for successful product release and delivery of the next generation of S&C products. This role will work as thehands-on operations hub, providing technical leadership to the cross-functionalteam to help drive major projects at S&C to meet SQDC targets. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to ensure- a flawless transition of product-specific deliverables from design to manufacturing and then to successful release. A successful New Product Integration Manager is a natural leader and facilitator; is driven, organized, and detail-oriented, and excels in product/project management

Job Responsibilities

New Product Process Integration: Lead a cross-functional project team of professional engineers and other supporting roles responsible for executing and delivering the release of the next generation of S&C products and solutions. Translate product requirements created from marketing, sales, and customer feedback into authored manufacturing process requirements.

Product Team Partnership: Partner with the product team to develop and maintain project plans for the future release of low-cost, scalable, and reliable new products that align closely with the existing product lifecycle plans of the organization. Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidance to design engineers in the early stages of product development.

Process Development: Lead Production Preparedness Process (3P) events to design, build, and test prototype production lines for iterative learning, ensuring the smooth transition of processes from test to Production Operations, while prioritizing SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).

Supplier Selection Support: Support negotiations with suppliers and other vendor partners needed to produce new products, providing expertise on process, equipment, and production needs and ensuring supplier selections align with company and customer expectations and also meet SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) targets.

Engineering Mentorship: Mentor other engineers within the function, leveraging personal expertise and relevant experience to improve the competencies of project teams and the greater Value Stream Engineering group as a whole.

Project Reporting: Present project statuses, analysis findings, and other key information to value stream engineering leadership, making recommendations on process, equipment, and production decisions. Monitor project and product targets closely, recommending strategic changes when needed in order to meet deadlines.

Budget Management: Manage project budgets of $10M+, owning the responsibility of issuing budget to projects.

Continuous Improvement Activities: Collaborate and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of engineering processes within the Value Stream Engineering function and ensure continuous improvement efforts directly support improved customer satisfaction.

Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

Required Qualifications

10 years of experience within new product development and manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.

Preferred

Master's Degree within above mentioned disciplines, Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or PMP

Required

10+ years of demonstrated experience in delivering major new products to market within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Possess leading expertise in manufacturing and product engineering with deep subject matter expert knowledge in value stream mapping, lean manufacturing, and process design.

Track record of successfully and consistently integrating new products in a manufacturing environment from the initial phases of spec development to final stages of quality and compliance testing completion.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from executives, managers, and team members.

Leading organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise, and juggling a heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignments.

Excellent business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.

Ability to travel as required.
