How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an SAP Analyst - Inventory & Logistics will report directly to the IT Director of SAP Global Solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the existing SAP ECC 6.0 solution that drives the daily business processes of SPX Cooling Tech LLC, a global manufacturer of HVAC equipment. You will focus on the SAP processes that control our material inventory & logistics management functions. You will serve as the IT department's SME in SAP inventory & logistics configuration and contribute to projects & continuous improvement actions to support our digital transformation.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be

  • Purchase order life cycle management for our factories and remote construction projects. Includes but not limited to purchase order automation, confirmation, advance shipping notices, and inbound deliveries. Responsibilities include maintaining IDOC outbound & inbound file creation & update processing in the SAP system.
  • Logistics order life cycle management for outbound and inbound shipments integrated with a national TMS provider. SPX Cooling Tech is a manufacturer with special logistics and freight accounting requirements for our raw materials and finished goods and this system is key.
  • Inventory management processes for our fabrication, assembly & distribution facilities. Includes but not limited to goods receipts, goods movement, physical inventory, cycle counting, picking, shipping.
  • Design & build RF type applications to be used in factory-based mobile devices on a segmented wireless network to support the inventory management process. This includes supporting our current catalog of mobile transactions and developing new applications to support our digitization projects.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves application issues across development, testing and production SAP environments.
  • Provides SAP application support and status updates to end users via SPX enterprise IT service desk application and any vendor-managed application support services, where applicable.
  • Provides project support, produces project deliverables as required from project teams.
  • Produces functional & technical specifications to support application development by SPX enterprise IT or third parties.
  • Understand and follows SPX change and release management processes.

What we are looking for (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • SAP ERP Inventory & Logistics management applications experience, minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, Business, or other relevant subject area.
  • Experience in SAP implementations focused in manufacturing, inventory & distribution processes.
  • Knowledge to support our research & transition to implement the most effective inventory & logistics automation applications with digital features for our supply chain organization.
  • Ability to work in a large organization, building business partnerships and strategic relationships with key users.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to handle changing priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)

CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Total Quality Management, Lean Thinking, Value Stream Mapping
  • Cross-functional workflow process mapping (e.g. Visio)
  • Project Management, PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing & distribution
  • SAP implementation experience
  • Experience in global organizations, remote work teams.
