As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high quality industrial HVAC equipment used to cool large facilities like hospitals, data centers, and power plants. With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

This is an individual contributor role, responsible for analyzing and managing business systems in the lead-to-cash process and related IT solutions for the SPX Cooling organization. This position will report to the Director IT, Global Engg Systems and will participate in projects, per business priorities, facilitating definition, development and continuous improvement activities. This position can be remote but is ideally based out of Overland Park, KS with ability to work from home and in-office.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Work directly with subject matter experts across functions as well as systems to understand the needs of the business, the outcomes to be achieved with clear, well-defined measures (both operational and system oriented).
  • Analyze current business processes, make recommendations for initiatives to increase effectiveness based on business measures (margin, throughput, quality), software system trends and professional business knowledge.
  • Lead/Participate in projects for analysis, re-engineering, standardization, new capabilities and/or data migration.
  • Write clear, well-structured business system requirements and specifications.
  • Support systems and develop operating procedures, training materials, test scripts and test cases.
  • Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.
  • Create and present reports to executive team members and stakeholders to support recommendations.
  • Communicate project status, operations status and other work information on a periodic basis.
  • Some global travel to support various initiatives may be required.

What we are looking for (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree, with experience working with industrial equipment manufacturers.
  • 5+ years' experience with process improvement, standardization and supporting/managing/maintaining the related business systems.
  • 4+ years of experience leading, managing and rolling out change in business processes and systems.
  • Experience cultivating relationships with people across functions and business units.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in a commercial, manufacturing, engineering business function is a plus.

CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to interact with business audiences to elicit process details and business system requirements
  • Experience working with processes and supporting one or more systems that support business process chains:
  • Processes: Lead to Cash process chain - Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, Estimates, Orders, Master data, Order fulfilment, Invoicing, Billing, SOX and Security compliance
  • Systems: CRM, CPQ, Product sizing/selectors
  • Experience with either Java or .Net based application software development or maintenance.
  • MS Office, MS Project, and other desktop software tools
  • Project Management Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience working with QTC (Quote-to-Cash) is a plus.
  • Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 or above is a plus.
