This is a hybrid role, with three days a week working and collaborating in our Deerfield, IL office and two days a week at your home office.

What you'll be doing

This role will support new pipeline ideation and launch teams for the North America Pharmaceutical business. The role will work with global and regional partners for the launch preparation of several mid to long term assets. The scope of responsibilities for this position will be mostly strategic in nature and will be fundamental to support the future growth of pharmaceuticals business in North America.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and forecast the commercial potential for all pipeline opportunities including differentiated and generic products.
  • Support the long range planning (LRP) roll-up process. Periodically update the LRP and identify and highlight gaps vs prior.
  • Support the Portfolio function in business case development and update forecasts on a periodic basis to incorporate change in project timelines, market dynamics such as competition, reimbursement, pricing.
  • Support the team with market analytics, such as tracking competitive activity, market demand shifts, etc.
  • Develop market segmentation and customer targets for new products and track salesforce performance.
  • Develop demand forecast for new product launches and maintain forecast vs actual reports for launched products and apply analytical insights to improve forecast accuracy of pipeline products.
  • Provide market intelligence and insight to influence strategic and tactical marketing plans.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and dynamics and bring external insight towards pipeline strategy.
  • Support assessment of business development and merger and acquisition opportunities for North America

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years experience spanning Portfolio Management, Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Business Planning.
  • Strong financial competence including financial modeling, demand and price forecasting, market and competitive analysis.
  • Understanding of US and Canada pharmaceutical industry, generic pharma and/or specialty pharma knowledge preferred
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex insights, as well as to connect commercial, financial, and clinical perspectives to develop strategies and feasibility case rational
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary range for this position is $104,000 - 143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
