Job Description

Regions Hospital is seeking a Supervisor of Patient Financial Services to join the Admitting leadership team. This role supervises approximately 15 financial counseling staff in the Admitting Department, leading the implementation of strategies, providing work direction to teams, improving workflow and efficiencies, identifying learning opportunities, facilitating training and education, establishing and improving key performance indicators, managing productivity, and monitoring work quality.

This role works closely with individual team members, team leads, managers, and directors to verify patient insurance coverage, evaluate Medical Assistance application processes for reimbursement, identify problems, recognize symptoms, and provide solutions to complex insurance registration issues. The Supervisor of Patient Financial Services is responsible for the development and timely updating of department policies and procedures, establishment of goals and objectives, setting of standards, and monitoring statistical/financial reports to enhance patient interview experiences and reimbursement potential.

This position is eligible to work up to two days remotely. This is not a fully remote position. Employees must reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota, and have a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work free from interruptions.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Required Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in healthcare registration or billing.
  • Reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota, and have a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work free from interruptions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of government and insurance payer rules and regulations.
  • Supervisor or manager experience.

Additional Information:

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position. The full salary range for this position is $55,452.80-$83,179.20 annually, based on experience and internal equity. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and eligible for benefits.
