Job Description
The Circulation Department is seeking a Circulation Assistant for the Summer 1 and 2 sessions.

The Circulation Department is one of the busiest units within the library, and the first point-of-contact for many patrons. Students working in this department are expected to represent the library by providing exemplary customer service both at the front desk and in the stacks.

On a daily basis, Circulation Student Assistants will:
- Check in and out materials, answer questions, and assist patrons at the front desk
- Re-shelve returned books and equipment
- Pull and process hold requests for books and equipment
- Dust, straighten, and organize the General Stacks
- Clean and sanitize study rooms and study areas
- Assist in opening and closing duties for the department as needed
- Assist with shelf-reading, shifting, and inventory projects
- Any other special tasks necessary to assist in the day-to-day functions of the department


Over the summer, the Circulation Department will be open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 AM-7:00 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM-7 PM (closed Saturdays). We are looking for students to work the morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts.

Students with flexible schedules and previous customer service experience are encouraged to apply.
