Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and deploy or refine manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce cost and optimize build schedules.
  • Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional, high quality machined components.
  • Develop manufacturing work instructions to clearly define manufacturing process.
  • Define how to set up hardware for machining on mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
  • Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
  • Leads at the site level, the development, implementation, and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration of major production hardware.
  • Leads producibility assessments for part or product designs.
  • Provides input to the development, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents and schedules at an organizational level


Qualifications:

  • HS/GED/Equiv required. Associate Degree or trade school in related discipline and/or 5+ years of manufacturing experience, or production experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Formal training in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or lean methods
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Proficient with developing tooling and work holding fixtures to support machining processes.
  • Proficient in machining on mills, lathes, multi-axis machines.
  • Proficient blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 / ASME Y14.100-2017 standard.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


Desired:

  • Experience in CNC programming
  • Expert technical knowledge in one or more disciplines
  • Ability to lead independent contributors and lead a cross functional team.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Proficient with Manufacturing & CAD Software (Jules, CMES, Velocity, Enovia, Delmia, CATIA, CREO, Etc.)
