Job Description
Responsibilities

The Sabre is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) for our Program Field Site Naval Air Station (NAS) in Patuxent River, MD. CPSO will successfully manage the Security Team and Security Requirements at this program site and work closely with assigned program staff on all aspects of special program security.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the security aspects of the program with strict adherence to the applicable Security Regulations, Instructions and Policies
  • Interpret and enforce government and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to program personnel.
  • Interface with program managers and maintain liaison with US Government Program Security Officers.
  • Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction
  • Develop and revise program level security plans, procedures and instructions.
  • Provide classification guidance to employees, develop and provide security education and awareness training, conduct security briefings, lead security self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents.
  • Implement the prescribed SETA Program for their site personnel IAW requirements


Qualifications

Minimum Clearance:

  • Top Secret DoD Security Clearance Adjudicated for Special Compartmented Information (TS/SBI)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Skills:

  • 7years of experience with DoD Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Knowledgeable in Special Access Program and Sensitive Compartmented Information security management and execution in accordance with the NISPOM, the DoDM 5205.07 series of manuals, applicable DoD Directives and Navy Implementation guidance, and Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Highly motivated CPSO who is flexible in their ability to meet emerging requirements, and are capable of providing extraordinary support in a dynamic and highly demanding multi-level security environment
  • Eligible per the SAP NP and ICD 704 with no disqualifying security issues that will deem a candidate ineligible for access
  • CPSOs with the requisite experience to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a CPSO position IAW the DODM 5205.07, V1
  • Possess the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) to perform managerial and team leading functions
  • Management attributes and skills:
    • Public speaking and briefing skills
    • The ability to manage, motivate and lead teams
  • Use of Industry Standard software tools (Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Exercise basic project management skills needed to manage the Security Specialists team in their support functions
  • Decision-making skills that promote the ability to work autonomously from Government oversight when managing and executing projects, tasks and work assignments
