Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for an Operator position. As an Operator you are responsible for operating the machine daily to produce parts and packaging materials to customers specifications and requirements.

This position is 1st shift. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 7:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Truck loading/Unloading
* Proper completion of paperwork for shipping/receiving
* Pulling and staging feedstock for production orders,
* Ensuring size, material finish, and accuracy of the finished goods
* Operating a crane and forklift to move material as needed
* Conducting daily prestart inspections on all required equipment/machine and identify any issues
* Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:
* 1-3 years years of experience as a skilled machine operator preferred
* Ability to navigate on a computer to find information, enter information when prompted and print as necessary.
* Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time
* Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
* Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing
* Physical ability to pass physical requirements for mobility and lifting requirements
* Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
