Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION

The Quality Technician is a Full time Technician position, analyzing, planning, reporting and communicating internally and externally to team members and suppliers. This position will require use of computer database as well as checklist follow-up and daily reporting. Must have the ability to shift from duty to duty depending on the company's needs and business demands. Will also be trained to perform machine audits and rework to cover areas when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor data, create reports and communicate findings and results
  • Document control and update
  • To be trained in ISO 9001:2015 QMS process
  • Performs machine analysis and documents findings in rework database
  • Has the ability to search for replacement parts and obtain them
  • Transfers machines and parts in and out of the USDC (United States Distribution Center) warehouses
  • Has the ability to work with LN system ( ERP System)
  • Repairs machine to acceptable condition
  • Performs Final Inspection and test to Current EOL (End Of Line) and Inspection checks
  • Reports progress and issues on daily basis
  • Proactive approach to identified issues
  • Identify potential improvements based on failures found
  • Performs root cause oriented analysis
  • Promotes job safety environment
  • Reads and follows instruction sheets, service manuals, owner's manuals and procedures.
  • Uses e-mail
  • Back up for other positions (to be trained)
  • Continuous Improvement

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Associate or Two Year degree in Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

Min of 3 years of Quality Experience

KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Working Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical-electronic systems and components
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills
  • Capable of working independently or in a team environment using basic problem solving techniques to analyze issues and identify root cause
  • Experience working with structured processes and measures
  • Experience working with assembly based quality control methods, tools and techniques
  • Good technical and analysis skills
  • Good communication, presentation and team skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a pallet jack to move product
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Good data analysis and reporting skills
  • Fluent English
  • Must have good attendance and a positive team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be critical and accept criticism
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to learn new skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in use of MS Office software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as LN
  • Ability to learn new software
