It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

Summary of the Job:

This role is responsible for monitoring, validation, testing and analysis of FNBO's credit risk strategies with a primary focus on consumer and small business credit cards and consumer unsecured loans. The role will design, deliver, update, and maintain an efficient and highly automated framework to support validations. They will also design, implement, and monitor an overall UAT test plan policy and associated SLAs to ensure both accurate implementation of strategies, overall ongoing performance of decisioning strategies, and business adherence to change management approval documentation.

About This Role:

  • Design and implement flexible, comprehensive, and highly automated testing, validation, and verification process for credit risk strategies and campaigns
  • Update validation processes to ensure alignment with approved and implemented criteria/process changes.
  • Develop ongoing system monitoring plan, including cadence and metrics, to ensure decision systems to continue to operate in accordance with approved guidelines
  • Continuously pursue efficiency and automation of monitoring in scope to support scale/expansion of credit risk initiatives
  • Design fit for impact testing and validation framework and associated SLAs
  • Maintain and monitor framework, employingunit, regression, and implementation testing
  • Develop and execute testing design plan based on assessment of change against testing framework.
  • Collaborate with decision engines team to share best practices on testing, automation, and strategy design principles.
  • Test new credit strategies (pre- and post-production) by analyzing data from multiple sources utilizing various statistical and analytical techniques.
  • Work closely with decision engines, compliance, and operations to resolve credit strategy issues identified during testing and validation.
  • Prepare formal documentation of validation results for both new implementations/changes and ongoing system monitoring

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Key Skills:

  • Advanced coding skills, SQL or Python strongly preferred
  • Significant expertise in validation process design and automation
  • Significant expertise in design of a fit for impact testing framework
  • Significant expertise in advanced automation techniques (including design, coding, and execution/scheduling)
  • High level of knowledge of the business of credit risk as well as systems supporting the execution of credit risk strategy
  • High level of knowledge of compliance/regulatory/audit requirements of consumer credit and associated systems

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, economics, engineering, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in building automate validations, preferably with credit risk underwriting and account management strategies
  • 5+ years working with large analytical datasets, preferably using SQL or Python
  • 5+ years experience with Credit Risk and Fraud principles and processes
