Job Description
Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services (ADCS) under the direction of the DCS, provides administrative supervision and direction for the acute clinicians, PRTF therapists, and recreation therapists. The ADCS works collaboratively with the nurse managers, physicians, and other providers to ensure consistent clinical programming and the provision of a therapeutic milieu for patients.

The ADCS attends treatment planning meetings in support of the clinicians, and as directed by the DCS. The ADCS participates in managers' meetings and serves on other councils or committees at the discretion of the DCS. The ADCS participates in monthly audits of clinical services documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards for provision of patient care.

At the direction of the DCS, the ADCS may participate in orientation training sessions for new hires, and provide topical clinical training. The ADCS assists the DCS in providing clinical consultation to other disciplines or staff on an as-needed basis. The ADCS is involved may be involved in the resolution of patient and/or family grievances regarding clinical care, communicating with patients and families as needed.

As directed by the DCS, the ADCS serves as a liaison between clinical staff and referring agencies in ensuring the provision of quality care and promoting the hospital's reputation as a premier provider of inpatient psychiatric care. The ADCS promotes and models the principles of service excellence to internal and external customers of Brynn Marr Hospital.

Pay varies starting from $75,000 to $95,000 depending on expierence.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years masters' level work experience. Management and administrative experience, health care setting preferred.

License / Certification:

North Carolina LCSWA, LCMHCA or LMFTA. Independent, full licensure preferred.

BLS and CPI certification

Other:

This position carries a small caseload as directed by the Chief Clinical Officer (DCS).

Physical requirements:

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job is rated light work when it requires: (1) walking or standing to a significant degree; (2) sitting most of the time while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls; or (3) working at a production rate pace while constantly pushing or pulling materials even though the weight of the materials is negligible.
