Sr. Specialist, Direct Marketing

The Sr. Specialist Direct Marketing will support our growing direct to consumer ecommerce program. We are looking for a talented email and direct mail marketer and platform expert to execute marketing programs that drive conversions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance of direct response experience with and email platform knowledge and have the ability to effectively implement programs to achieve sales and revenue goals for all direct to consumer programs and promotions.

The Sr. Specialist Direct Marketing will be responsible for daily sales-focused email and direct mail operations of our in-house D2C program. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining email and direct mail templates in addition to developing a rigorous QA process to ensure all campaigns are accurate. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, execution and analysis of all campaigns, and will collaborate with sales and marketing stakeholders on shared deliverables and timelines. This role will be responsible for the direct response strategy and campaign development including copywriting, as needed.

Success in this position requires the ability to understand all details needed to create and support a complex sales-driving ecommerce program. Must be a strong self-starter who wants to dig in to our platform to build, check, and strive for great results. The Sr. Specialist Direct Marketing must have a strong desire and ability to use a test-and-learn approach to continuously improve program results.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the email and direct mail campaign strategy to achieve revenue goals
  • Working closely with the D2C and content teams, actively participate in planning of promotional efforts including providing insight into prior performance across creative, cadence, and target
  • Demonstrate technical and data expertise to define targeting / segmentation and create direct marketing lists for email and direct mail
  • Create and launch email efforts within our ESP and ensure email and direct mail campaigns are activated correctly and on time
  • Maintain a test and learn approach and provide ongoing daily reporting to track performance and make necessary changes to improve results
  • Ensure all timelines are appropriately determined and achieved to ensure program success
  • Be detail-oriented to ensure smooth production across multiple campaigns
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems including inconsistent assets, data targets, and render checks
  • Stay abreast of platform releases, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions to provide appropriate resolution to issues.
  • Continuously improve by identifying, creating, and enhancing internal systems and processes based on new/updated program requests or evolving industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have

  • At least 4 years of relevant direct to consumer ecommerce marketing experience, including familiarity with CRM and hands on experience with marketing technologies
  • At least 2 years working with email platforms, Acoustic preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years working with targeting and segmentation, creating marketing lists
  • At least 2 years working with direct mail programs
  • Strong proficiency with HTML/CSS
  • Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and written skills
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in marketing within a complex organization with a lot of stakeholders
  • Be a curious person who is excited to continue learning and growing
