Description

Sound is looking for...

A Loss Management Assistant to join our team! As a Loss Management Assistant you will support the department's efforts to maintain control of delinquent loan accounts, monitor member accounts and take appropriate action. In this role you will maintain accurate record of past due accounts and collection efforts and continue with follow-up actions. Additionally you will keep accurate records and reporting on collection activity.

As a Loss Management Assistant you will...

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Loss Management team.
  • Organize and maintain negative share accounts to conclusion.
  • Administer payment processing for Consumer Credit Counseling Service and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy payments.
  • Prepare and mail letters regarding delinquent loan accounts.
  • Service Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) policy payments and warranty refunds.
  • Research and respond to notifications on towing reports.
  • Prepare collection documents for appropriate collection agencies regarding charge off accounts.
  • Update and upload insurance binders to the Insurance Service Center website.
  • Assist with research and validations of Credit Bureau disputes.
  • Research and detect trends in charged off shares and loans.
  • Monitor department email inbox-field/prioritize incoming department emails and communications. Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, instant messages, and assist as necessary.
  • Sort and distribute Credit Union inter-office envelopes and postal mail.
  • Complete administrative office duties including preparing reports, typing documents, creating spreadsheets, printing, laminating, filing, organizing, copying, faxing, and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain intra/interdepartmental workflow by providing information to and cooperating with teammates and working on variety of special department projects as needed.
Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will bring to the team...

  • Two or more years of administrative and/or functional department support required.
  • One or more years of experience in the customer service field required, preferably in a financial institution.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Your compensation:

At Sound Credit Union we believe in paying our employees a fair and living wage. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate's prior experience and education level as it pertains to their role. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates, which allows us to offer merit-based salary increases.

Minimum: $20.38
Midpoint: $25.48
Maximum: $30.58

Your hours:

A hybrid schedule Monday - Friday: 8 am - 4:30 pm. With occasional rotating half days on Saturdays.

In your role you will have the ability to combine in-person and remote work.
