Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Data Architect to join our team! This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture that supports our data related initiatives. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing Ryan's data architecture. You will define how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by the organization, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way. Some things you can expect to do:

* Lead efforts to accelerate data maturity to address business challenges by mapping out the current data architecture landscape and design future-state architecture to support evolving business needs and growth.

* Develop standards, tools, and governance for capturing, modeling, storing, and delivering data.

* Implement robust data governance practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

* Developing a high level enterprise data model and conceptual views of related data sub-architectures (e.g., database, data integration, data warehouse/business intelligence, reporting, metadata, and content management architectures)

* Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate data management services into technology development processes.

* Partner with the data organization to understand challenges and implement best practices and standards.

* Effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy, fostering understanding and buy-in.

* Conduct research to identify data sources, uncover anomalies, and address data quality concerns.

* Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing data solutions to drive business results.

To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, information management or a business-related field of student and at least 10 years of data architect experience.

You will really stand out if you have:

* Proficiency in tools such as Python, ER Studio, Microsoft Suite, Azure DevOps, and SQL query tools.

* Experience with modern data platforms, including on-premise and cloud platforms

* Ability to connect new technology with the needs of the organization

* Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills

* Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively
