The Hardware Asset Manager will report to the IT Asset Manager and sits within Belron's Asset Management Team Services. The role is to manage and maintain the compliance of all IT hardware assets in line with business and regulatory requirements throughout the entire asset lifecycle.

The Hardware Asset Manager will be responsible for all aspect of the Hardware Asset Management practice for technology and working with global stakeholders to provide ITAM program leadership and direction to ensure governance, including policies, controls, standards, procedures to meet regulatory, operational, audit and reporting requirements when it comes to hardware asset management.

Responsible for accurate inventory of all assets, both physical and virtual, and to provide governance and compliance in relation to standard hardware for both end user and data center products and internal policies, controls and third part contracts. This includes partnering with IT and Procurement to manage the end-to-end asset lifecycle from planning, acquiring, deployment, management, and retirement/disposal of hardware assets. What You'll Do

  • Participate and contribute expertise to the development of the ITAM program to develop, deploy and govern a hardware asset management program globally.
  • Lead the implementation with the IT Manager a global Hardware Asset program globally including but not limited to implementation, administration and ensures all IT asset management governance requirements and related IT policies, controls, standards, procedures, and processes related to ITAM.
  • Monitor hardware compliance and usage to identify, reallocate and remove unused hardware!
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping for the full asset lifecycle (acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal), ensuring records are accurate and auditable.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Hardware Asset Register ensuring the appropriate feeds are in place to support the CMDB and ensure information on IT assets (hardware, network, and telephony) are kept accurate and up to date in the Asset Management System
  • Develop, define, deploy the Global process for delivery and collection of assets to and from users, monitor and report on the process and work to remediate issues with Belron's affiliates.
  • Create compliance reports and analysis to review assets with business owners to support procurement, audits, and ad hoc requirements.
  • Manage, monitor, review all HAM policy and procedures and where necessary produce work instructions.
  • Provide HAM reporting to internal teams and management where required, including KPI reporting for the country-based teams.
  • Ensure a robust hardware catalogue is in place (with appropriate workflows) so departments can obtain new, or replacement IT equipment as required.
  • Support internal customers and stakeholders, such as Vendor Management, procurement, security, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Audit and IT before, during or after internal or external audits.
  • Manage physical inventory validations, reconciliation in support of contract renewal by providing reporting on what current have, what is used and what they true-up or renew.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators for program success and report up to Leadership.
  • Manage asset discovery, inventory data management, HAM KPIs, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for potential cost savings and operational efficiencies both locally and globally.
  • Work closely with the Software License Management Team to support internal and external software audits to protect the reputation of Belron and ensure they fulfil their software license obligations.
  • Provide support to other ITSM / SAM / ITAM staff as required.
  • Engage in projects to provide Hardware Asset Management related deliverables.
  • Continuous improvement and innovation of Hardware Asset Management processes and standard methodology based on industry best practices.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 7-9 years relevant experience Required.
  • experience in hardware asset management.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Required.
  • Demonstrable experience and SME in Hardware Asset Management (Medium proficiency)
  • Knowledge of HAM governance development, optimization, and Service Management Best Practice (Medium proficiency)
  • Developed, delivered, and managed hardware asset management to major organizations globally. (Medium proficiency)
  • Expert, deep level technical and governance knowledge of Ham processes and tools. (Medium proficiency)
  • Experience of assuring a Hardware Asset Management service through the full asset lifecycle (Medium proficiency)
  • Good understanding of Service Management Toolsets and related HAM/SAM tools e.g. Active Directory, Flexera, SNOW and ServiceNow (Medium proficiency)
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements (Medium proficiency)
  • Strong global Stakeholder management skills including excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and conduct technical discussions, as well as issues escalation and resolution. (Medium proficiency)
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns (Medium proficiency)
  • Experience interpreting reports and data and making tactical/strategic decisions (Medium proficiency)
  • ITIL V3/4 Foundation Certification (Medium proficiency)
  • Experience of working to ITIL best practice (High proficiency)
  • Strong desire to learn and willingness to share knowledge (High proficiency)
  • Concise and clear communication when presenting and explaining results and findings (High proficiency)
  • Tenacious and care about doing a great job, exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do (High proficiency)
  • IATIAM certifications CHAMP desirable (Low proficiency)
