Job Description:

The Student Activities Center Coordinator is responsible for contributing to creating a vibrant community that welcomes and develops students within the space of Student Activities. The position will provide administrative support as well as advising, programming, marketing, and management of technology systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, faculty, vendors, and community partners via phone, e-mail, and personal interactions.
  • Responsible for room reservations and scheduling campus wide.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Engage (RSO management software) in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Student Activities and all accompanying paperwork and processes.
  • Advise the SGA Vice President for Finance who provides oversight for all purchases involving student budget funds and the disbursement of student budget funds to RSOs each semester.
  • Facilitate campus trainings for Engage and serve as point person for faculty and staff utilizing the Engage system
  • Coordinate one large scale welcome back program each semester (fall and spring) for the SAC, such as Centro Takeover's welcome back event for all students to connect with offices and campus resources.
  • Process and manage facilities requests, room reservations, PO's, check requests, travel arrangements and all paperwork processes for the SAC.
  • Supervise up to six Student Assistants who serve as Office Managers in the SAC
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the SAC including checking SAC e-mail, processing mail for SAC and RSOs, ordering supplies, and facilitating overall cleanliness of SAC space
  • Support the Validating Valor Pathway in collaboration with the Office of Identity and Inclusion and Athletics
  • Plan and implement the weekend programming series, Friday Knight Live, in conjunction with Assistant Director of Student Activities and Graduate Assistant


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with campus programming
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies
  • Knowledge of principles of student development
  • Strong student-centered philosophy is preferred
  • Ability to manage and motivate students and develop programs is essential as is a personal demeanor that inspires excellence and collaboration
