Cleans and services hospital areas to ensure the safety, health and morale of patients, visitors and employees. Services Patient Care and Non-Patient Care areas.
Responsible for removal of soiled linen, removal of infectious and regular waste, sharps container removal, general cleaning to include mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and meeting/event set-up/breakdown.
Provides a clean, attractive, and safe environment to enhance the patient, visitor, and staff experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent or higher preferred.
Six months housekeeping or janitorial experience in healthcare facility preferred.
Demonstrates oral communication skills required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to promote and maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with team members, patients, visitors, providers, and others.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks. Basic knowledge of computers, mobile devices, and software applications required.
