Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Report organization's finances to management. Prepare data for inclusion in interim financial statements and supporting schedules. Work with Finance Manager to prepare and present the company's financial standing, maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves administrative level responsibilities in general accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.

Major Areas of Accountability

Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, bank account reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.

* Prepare and reconcile Payroll related entries for both direct expense and intercompany cross charged item Reconcile payments posted on all patients' accounts and request corrections from the "Billing and Reimbursement" department as needed.

* Monitor the General Ledger according to cost centers provided by Coloplast Corp. Look for discrepancies and miss-posts and revise when necessary.

* Maintain the company's accounting system and keep books and records on all company transactions and assets to be prepared for an audit case scenario.

  • Partner with FP&A counterparts to ensure sufficient accrual balances versus actuals while providing recommendations to future accrual needs.

* Prepare daily cash flow reporting for the Leadership Team and forecast month-end cash position to ensure sufficient cash on hand at month end for all liabilities.

* Prepare daily and monthly journal entries including amortization, depreciation and pre-paid entries as well as revenue and revenue adjustment entries in preparation of the month-end closing process.

* Prepare and update all reports needed for month-end closing within the given timeframe.

* During the month end process, prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation backup for all accounts and present to Senior Finance Manager for revision and endorsement.

* Source and post data for reports that outline the company's financial position as A/R, A/P and financial reports. Present findings to Senior Finance Manager for analysis and inclusion in financial statements.

* Monitor workflow in order to meet month-end/ quarterly reporting requirements, and alert manager to any issues with systems or staff which would impact the team's ability to meet production requirements.

* Consolidate Sage 50 Accounting software for sister companies Comfort Medical and once month-end closing is done.

* Review and analyze financial practices of the company to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, federal, state and local mandates, and the company's fiscal budgetary programs.

* Complete select periodic tax filings and payments as necessary.

* Lead and mentor Bookkeeper to assist with Accounting Department responsibilities and deliverables.

* Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

* BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related major from an accredited university.

* 5+ years of experience in financial recordkeeping procedures, laws, regulations, and standards, knowledge of all facets of accounting and finance.

* Excellent Peachtree, Word, and Excel skills.
