We are looking for a Sr. Associate, Truck & Upfit to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As theSr. Associate, Truck & Upfit, you will provides consultation regarding non-factory vehicle orders to a portfolio of client accounts in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures. You will serve as the subject matter expert and client point of contact to fulfill urgent non-factory vehicle needs. The consultation includes, but is not limited to, vehicle need and specification, creation of payment schedules and life cycle cost analysis, best value pricing, and vehicle status from order placement to hard plates.

You will also work with various areas of the business to secure units by negotiating cost and presenting most cost-efficient solution, while remaining sensitive to the client's need.

A Day in the Life

  • Consults with clients about policy, purchasing authority, alternatives to out of stock ordering through the comparison of financial benefits/costs of each choice.

  • Provide vehicle pricing and specifications to customers and Commercial team. Locate vehicles, negotiate, and advise regarding pricing/inventory trends to Commercial team and customers where appropriate.

  • Facilitation of specifications and quotes, orders, assignments, deliveries, invoice payments and status reporting.

  • Informs clients regarding availability of vehicles and availability of specifications and works to identify best options for client

  • Communicates status to client in agreed upon timeframe and provides follow up calls to keep the client informed through the purchasing process

  • Negotiates pricing including motor company incentives and delivery arrangements on behalf of client within preferred dealer network.

  • With approval from client, purchases vehicle from dealer and arranges payment.

  • Identifies client trends in out of stock ordering and uses these in consultation with client, FPS, and Commercial

  • Facilitate setup of applicable pool accounts and suppliers with customer.

  • Manage surplus vehicle inventory to minimize financial impact. Place orders via OEM and GE technology applications as required

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred in business or related field (or equivalent business experience)

  • 1-5 years business experience with client consultation experience

  • Some experience in medium heavy truck and upfitting knowledge a plus

  • Must have strong proficiency in various MS Office software applications.

  • Must have strong proficiency in Excel, particularly, reporting, v look ups, pivot tables.
