    The hourly pay range for this role is estimated to be $20-24 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, student classification/year of study, experience, knowledge, and skills.

    Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do In This Role:

    The Controls Engineering Intern performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives while on multi-discipline project teams. The Controls Engineering Intern will provide technical assistance to sales, applications engineers, project managers, and customer service personnel. The Controls Engineering Intern will make recommendations about design of equipment for improved performance and cost reduction.

    • Utilizes mechanical engineering principles to design and develop company products and systems
    • Assists with design specifications,
    • Assists team members in design, development and testing of mechanical components, equipment and systems;
    • Assists other departments and team members in resolving problems;
    • Review product and system design for compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements, company and national standards;
    • Consults with teams to analyze customers' business needs and plans user requirements;
    • May assist during installation at customer sites and provide training;
    • Troubleshoots equipment and installation problems.

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering (EE) or related
    • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, concepts, practices and codes(NED, UL, NFPA)
    • Strong team player with ability to interact with other disciplines;
    • Computer literate with Autodesk AutoCad, Autodesk Inventor, Excel, and Word
    • Familiarity with application of industrial sensors;
    • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed;
    • Ability to move around work sites and climb ladders.
