Automation Engineer
Greenville, SC
Job Description
Automation Engineer, Process Automation Solutions, Inc., Greenville, SC. Design, implement and test process automation software and hardware for S88 batch-based control systems. Ensure the software adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and change control standards. Responsible for scheduling and executing project tasks. Prioritize and execute automation mandates within a schedule as well as budget, while complying with required quality metrics. Generate software/hardware requirements and detailed design specification documents for new and existing automation systems. Provide automation process expertise and onsite technical support to customers. Analyze customer problems to provide design improvement recommendations. Troubleshoot issues and diagnose process control system problems.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field, and at least one (1) year of related work experience.
Must have one (1) year of experience with/in:
· Performing necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, service and repair for automation software systems;
· Modifying equipment using PlantPax, Batch, Studio 5000, or FactoryTalk View;
· Utilizing programming skills needed for PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, or Batch;
· Establishing standards for testing, operating procedures, and maintenance of equipment in accordance with GMP and GDP principals;
· Using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Power Point or Excel; and
· Designing process automation software and hardware for S88 batch-based control systems.
Must have automation/controls experience within the FDA regulated industry.
15% domestic travel required.
Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) days a week.
