Yoh is seeking an innovative, Staff UX Engineer to join our Autonomous Technology client on a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a key position driving the product engineering innovation and strategy for the control of unmanned aircraft. Title: Staff UX Engineer

Compensation: $90.00-$120.00/hour (depending on experience level)

Type: Contract with potential to hire

Responsibilities:

* Lead the innovation of cutting-edge technologies and architectures to enable rapid articulation of technology strategies

* Showcase developed architectures to customers, gather actionable feedback, and refine to enhance solutions

* Create robust reference implementations for potential future products or components, showcasing best practices and innovative approaches

* Adhere to best practices in code documentation, unit testing, and bug tracking to ensure maintainability and reliability of software systems

* Identify, analyze, and prioritize areas of technical debt across the technology stack, devising effective remediation strategies and implementation roadmaps




Qualifications:

* 10 years of hands-on experience in crafting large-scale, production-quality software systems.

* Proficiency in languages such as TypeScript, C++, Go, or Python and 5+ years of experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and Material UI, leveraging these technologies to build robust software solutions

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

* Familiarity with modern software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

* Experience using Git and other code management tools to facilitate version control and collaborative development workflows

* Ability to thrive in ambiguous conditions, proactively drive technical initiatives while delivering high-quality, performant software solutions that meet user needs and business objectives

* Strong teamwork and communication skills with an enthusiasm for upholding high standards of excellence and kindness in a collaborative environment

* Background in leveraging geospatial data and WebGL technologies for advanced visualization and data analysis (preferred)

* Experience applying design systems to create cohesive and scalable user interface components.

* Experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS) for scalable and resilient software deployment (preferred)

* Proficiency in Linux-based development environments, containerization with Docker, and implementing CI/CD practices for streamlined software delivery (preferred)

* Knowledge of WebSockets for real-time communication and experience with Electron or similar frameworks for building desktop applications (preferred)
