Job Title: Director, Aircraft Maintenance

Pay Rate: $122,000 - $150,000

SUMMARY:
With minimal oversight, the Director, Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for maintaining a Business Unit which ensures that all personnel perform their duties in compliance with the requirements of the COMPANY repair station manual and that all maintenance of aircraft are performed in accordance with approved Federal Aviation Administration, manufacturer, and customer procedures and requirements at COMPANY Airframe locations. Responsible for leading, directing, and controlling the resources required to successfully accomplish compliance goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides consistent daily direction to first-line reporting managers in assigned Airframe locations.
* Walks the operations floor daily, attends organized boardwalks, providing guidance and leadership when needed.
* Reviews the work performed and the coordination of personnel according to the demands of maintenance scheduling and priorities.
* Partners with Human Resources in the hiring and qualification of maintenance personnel as determined by experience, training, and performance.
* Works closely with support team leaders and others to ensure work scopes are scheduled, planned, and accomplished in a manner conducive to proper completion.
* Ensures that maintenance is properly performed in accordance with repair station procedures.
* Responsible for the Safety and Quality, and daily emphasis, to ensure compliance.
* Partners with Project Managers and Program Management to ensure customer communication and coordination are timely and sufficient.
* Serves as a key point of contact for customers, including resolution of customer concerns.
* Provides input in the development of long-range goals and objectives as well as clear metrics to measure success.
* Assists with the development and implementation of procedures, policies and guidelines for all departments within functional areas and in coordination with other locations.
* Assists with the review and approval of budgets and expenditures.
* Responsible for Budget management of Airframe projects.
* Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data with senior leadership to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
* Confers with senior leadership to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
* Ensures personnel are properly qualified to perform duties assigned to them.
* Directs and reassigns manpower and other resources in response to workload requirements
* Ensures all department personnel attend required training classes.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Some travel may be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO.
Minimum of six (6) years' MRO management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Pay Details: $122,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
