HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
- Efficiently schedule and direct warehouse associates to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
- Organize warehouse storage locations based on product volumes to ensure smooth inbound and outbound material flows.
- Set performance goals and metrics for warehouse associates.
- Ensure compliance with HAZMAT regulations, including proper labeling and documentation.
- Obtain necessary licenses and permits within specified timeframes.
- Lead Safety Committee activities and conduct safety equipment inspections.
- Resolve billing issues and develop reports to prevent future errors.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching for improvement, and identify future leaders.
- Communicate facility repair and maintenance needs, approve expenses, and report to the operations manager.
- Manage warehouse staff overtime based on performance measurements and metrics.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain documentation.
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings for communication, training, and motivation.
- Attend operational meetings as required.
- Provide coverage for warehouse associates during their absences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Experience and/or Training:
- 4-5 years' warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
- 2-3 years' warehouse management experience
- Knowledge of quality, 5-S, six sigma, and/or lean systems
WHAT SETS YOU APART (Preferred Qualifications):
Education: BA in business or related field is preferred
Licenses/Certificates: Forklift certification recommended not required - will certify within the Lube Tech safety guidelines
Technology/Equipment: Knowledge of WMS or ERP system preferred
