Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance department and assist with day-to-day operations and provide timely and courteous service to business partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:
*Responsible for assigned journal entry preparation and posting for the firm completing work on or before the monthly due dates.
*Responsible for assigned account reconciliations for month end reporting and compliance review.
*Responsible for fixed asset accounting for the firm. Utilizes Fixed Asset software appropriately to record acquisitions and disposals.
*Assists with keeping the Fredrikson & Byron Foundation records in order - posting contributions and issuing checks.
*Helps prepare trust compliance reconciliations monthly. Functions as a back-up to the Trust Accountant as needed.
*Monitors and follows up on outstanding checks flagged in the bank reconciliations (operating and trust accounts) to maintain a standard of best practice. Files the unclaimed property report for the firm.
*Responsible for Vendor Maintenance review.
*Using 1099PRO software to issue 1099s - has main responsibility for all 1099 production and mailing for the firm and ensures adherence to government related deadlines.
*Functions as a back-up to the Senior Accountant with specific focus on learning sales/use tax reporting.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:
*2-5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance.
*A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
*Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent communication and client service skills required.
*Ideal candidate would have entry level law firm experience, a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Elite 3E.
