In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to provide world class customer experience and be part of a best-in-class reinsurance client services team. You will oversee premium and pro-rata accounts for reinsurance contracts placed by Aon and mentor a team of technicians and junior advocates while being the dedicated advocate for your assigned clients. You will continue to build and implement your individual career development plan with dedicated mentors who will assist you along the way.

Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this experienced reinsurance accounting position are listed below.

  • Manage the reinsurance assets of our valued clients, including Fortune 500 companies.
  • Be part of a team that manages over $20B in ceded reserves per year.
  • Oversee and manage premium in excess of $50m on behalf of your dedicated clients
  • Ensure all premium and pro-rata accounting activities for your clients are managed timely and accurately
  • Assist your clients with contractual requirements as you help them navigate complex accounting issues
  • Manage collateral on behalf of your clients
  • Mentor a team of technicians and/or junior advocates who support our clients
  • Become a subject matter expert and/or thought leader in reinsurance accounting
  • Develop excellent communication skills with clients, brokers and reinsurers, through effective correspondence, presentations and meetings.
  • Participate in various local or global committees
  • Attend industry conferences

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Math or similar degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in insurance, accounting, reinsurance, claims, reinsurance accounting and/or broker client services
  • Successful completion of Aon's technical training program or equivalent
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite of products, advanced in excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to mentor and train others
  • Insurance and/or Reinsurance accounting experience preferred

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
