Silk Road Medical, Inc. is a medical device company located in Sunnyvale, California & Plymouth, MN, that is focused on reducing the risk of stroke and has pioneered a new approach for the treatment of carotid artery disease called TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR).

The opportunity

The Principal Salesforce Developer for Silk Road Medical will be a significant contributor in leading the analysis, design, and development and business requirements into solutions leveraging the Sales Cloud platform. This position will be expected to provide proposed solutions that include the assessment of benefits, risks, feasibility and functionality. Also residing with the role is the development, design, configuration, testing and deployment of Salesforce.com custom objects, feature and enhancements.

This is a hybrid position.

A "Day in the life"

• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of Salesforce customizations, applications, extensions, and integrations
• Define & prioritize technical requirements and goals needed for application ecosystem health and maintainability
• Implement and maintain Salesforce customizations such as custom fields and objects, layouts, workflows, process builder, and validation rules
• Ensure service level availability of the Sales Cloud platform, integrated applications, and provide on-call support for break/fix/enhancement activities to resolve application issues
• Develop Business & system requirements and software architecture and translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Sales Cloud platform
• Provide level of effort estimates for proposed solutions. Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality
• Own Apex & Lightning component development, design, configuration, testing and deployment of Salesforce.com custom objects, features, and enhancements
• Promote continuous learning with the development team to improve skills and practice and proposes new techniques and technologies for software development
• Coaches/mentors less experienced developers
• Participates in the ongoing development of technical best practices

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 8+ years Salesforce Lightning development experience for both Salesforce.com and Salesforce mobile app
• Additional Qualifications a Plus: Salesforce Developer Certification, Visualforce experience, and experience in Mid to Enterprise companies with 200+ userbase

Additional skills you have

• Proficiency with Salesforce.com development including modification of standard objects and fields and creation of custom objects and fields
• Adept at managing custom objects, forms, code clean up, debugging, and administration
• Knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas
• Solid experience with APEX, Lightning/Aura components, SOQL, SOSL
• Experience in migrating data and customizations across Salesforce environments
• Strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of software development processes and best practices

Actual compensation for this role depends on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience with the job, industry, and related education, etc. Silk Road Medical is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions in other states. The anticipated compensation range for candidates who will work in Sunnyvale, CA is $160,000 - $200,000. This position will also be eligible to participate in our annual bonus and earn equity in accordance with company policy. In addition, we offer robust and affordable benefits with modest employee contributions.
