POSITION SUMMARY

This position will work within a strategic business unit which support and manage a number of the company's high profile accounts which utilize our distribution strengths to meet their production needs. The role will work to satisfy customers' needs, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. Additionally, supports the development of long-term relationships with our customers through positive interaction within the business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs internal sales and external customer communication
    • Review of customer account health and profitability
    • Wurth Business Review interaction
    • Interdepartmental communication
    • Collaborate within business unit team to identify, research, and resolve customer issues
  • Quoting
    • Receipt and processing of all inbound customer RFQ opportunities
      • Opportunity information gathering
      • Standard part identification
    • Assigning margin for opportunity profitability
    • Follow-up on customer inquiries, open quotes, and unresolved requests to insure resolution
    • Manage customer feedback
      • Appropriate department routing
  • Customer Inventory Management
    • Reporting action and maintenance
      • Open order report
      • Inventory Days on Hand
      • Stock Status
    • Expediting with Purchasing Planners
    • Communicate customer forecast changes
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve our customer programs
  • Management of customer complaints, returns, invoicing issues
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction by providing prompt, courteous service
  • Represent the company professionally at all times in a customer relations capacity
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred. High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years customer service or related experience is required
  • Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Beginner to intermediate Excel skills
  • SAP skills are advantageous
  • Ability to read customer purchase orders
  • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve required goals
  • Ability to maintain and update information daily
  • Ability to communicate professionally through written, oral, or other forms of communication.
  • Ability to identify problems and communicate the situation in order to drive to a solution
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished through written, oral, excel, or other forms required.
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Must occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 lbs.
