This position works a hybrid schedule after traning is complete. Must be able to commute to Auburn Hills, MI.

Position Purpose:

Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains the Credit Union's security appliances and software. Includes security patch management, vulnerability management and SIEM log management. Performs all phases of server and desktop security updates during normal business hours and after hours. Require to be in monthly rotation for 24 hour alert notifications for down network WAN and LAN communications and Server Systems. Must be available at all hours during on call schedule to troubleshoot, resolve and contact appropriate personnel if assistance is needed.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Plans and implements any security upgrades or workstation and servers on the network. Schedule critical systems downtime during non-business hours and weekends for least impacting to users and members.
  • Investigate, test and install new security software applications as warranted.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security best practices and users appropriate use.
  • Setup, configure, and support the patch management software and maintain documentation.
  • Setup, configure, and support the vulnerability management software and maintains documentation.
  • Setup, configure, and support the SIEM log management and maintains documentation.
  • Works closely with the Information Security Manager, to develop, document and implement policies related to support, security, and maintenance of all facets of the security infrastructure.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related technical field preferred
  • Knowledge of best practice of information security, pertaining to Windows workstations and Windows Servers.
  • Must be able to fully support LAN and WAN environments, with security and logging management.
  • Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management and SEIM technology.
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration and DMZ technology.
  • Scripting knowledge and report writing.
  • Knowledge of VPN and functioning remotely to perform all aspects for network and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures; including policies related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including Anti-Money Laundering (ACL); Customer Identification Program (CIP); and Customer Due Diligence (CDD); to ensure compliance with current regulations
  • Experience in an end user support setting, LAN/WAN and Windows environment exposure desired
  • Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management and SEIM technology.
  • Continuing education/professional certification in security administration
