Materials Planner



We are looking for a Materials Planning Assistant who will report to the Planning Manager, and who'll be tasked with Material Planning activities such as performing administrative tasks to support the daily business in Planning. As part of your role, you'll be supporting the planning team on the analysis, plan and adjustments of demand in the system to fulfill requirements as needed, and to develop/maintain Key Performance Indicators in the department



YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:


  • Maintain MRP with optimum inventory levels by supplier and component

  • Analyze, plan, create and adjust PO deliveries according production plan and/or ECN's as well as inventory adjustments

  • Negotiate with suppliers in delivery changes needed according to MRP

  • Monitor daily on time shipment performance and past dues

  • Review and monitor raw material inventory levels at suppliers side

  • Monitor pre-shipment with suppliers

  • Identify risks according to MRP

  • Inform on timely manner any risk identified following the proper process

  • Take necessary actions to reduce/avoid excess of inventory and obsolete parts, as well as create a strategy and propose solutions

  • Coordinate deliveries for subcontracting strategies

  • Manage the supplier supply crisis using a temporary delivery schedule considering the supplier's departure & process lead time

  • Charge back to supplier any expense regenerated under their responsibility (retrofit, expedites, line down)

  • Follow up material replenishment for any non conformance alert

  • Request supplier's collaboration on any urgency

  • Develop and maintain proper communication regularly with suppliers

  • Solve issues related to discrepancies on 3 way match (physical, document, system)

  • Support to obtain documents needed for transportation and customs on special situations or as needed

  • Adhere to any other task assigned by supervisor

  • Comply with Health and Safety Rules




YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Required:


  • HS Diploma

  • 5+ years of experience in Planning and Supply Chain

  • ERP system knowledge or similar

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Ability to take initiative, foresee potential challenges, act in advance and be self driven

  • Highly organized with strict adherence to deadlines

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment


Preferred:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • Attention to detail with ability to focus on all areas of a project or task, no matter how small
