Granicus is looking for a data-driven pricing leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing long term pricing strategies across the Granicus product portfolio. The Director / Senior Director of Pricing Strategy will work across a number of teams Go To Market, Sales, Finance, Systems, Product Marketing, Product Management, and others to develop pricing strategies, policies, and tools to enhance revenue and profitability for Granicus. The candidate will be expected to generate and validate hypotheses using market, competitive, customer and partner research and rigorous analytical methods; implement enhancements and changes successfully; and measure impact and effectiveness for continuous improvement.
As a Director/ Sr. Director of Packaging and Pricing, you will lead and develop a specialized team dedicated to refining and driving monetization and pricing strategies.

In this pivotal role, you will engage with executives across the company, maximizing your expertise to drive growth. Your effective collaboration will be instrumental in optimizing Granicus' pricing strategies.

As leader of a cross-functional team of professionals, many of whom will not report to you, your leadership skills will extend across various functions, fostering a collaborative space that aligns with our company goals and values.
You will build and lead the Pricing function, driving transformative initiatives and building commercial capabilities across internal and go-to-market teams, delivering direct impact to key financial metrics.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Product and Marketing, empowering them with real-time insights, facilitating data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment. This position will have strong dotted line responsibilities to the CPO and the VP of Operational Excellence.
What your impact will look like:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive pricing strategies for our suite of products.
  • Perform market research, and analyze and synthesize quantitative (product, sales, pricing data) and qualitative data (input from customers, sales teams, and related product value partners) to develop and implement effective value capture strategies
  • Deliver crisp communication of recommended solutions to senior leaders and provide regular executive updates
  • Drive implementation of recommendations, coordinating stakeholders across operations, sales, renewals, finance, marketing, and product
  • Collaborate closely with the Product, Systems, and Finance teams to implement proactive strategies that encourage organization-wide adoption and facilitate enterprise transactions
  • Spearhead Granicus' Pricing Committee processes, ensuring strategic alignment and efficiency
  • Partner with Finance and Systems to introduce new SKUs and commerce updates, unlocking new monetization opportunities
  • Equip and train sales teams to optimally communicate and implement pricing strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies continuously, adjusting as needed to increase profitability and market share
  • Provide thought leadership and insights on best practices and innovative ways
You will love this role if you have:
  • 5-10+ years experience in a technology SaaS company or product suite in strategy, pricing and packaging, monetization, or product marketing roles
Preferred
  • 12+ years related business experience with a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree, in marketing, business strategy, pricing, finance or other related functional experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and excel in ambiguous environments.
  • Able to identify and develop solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspective
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Capable of communicating concepts clearly and credibly to multiple audiences
  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and go-to-market
  • Exposure to and knowledge of Granicus product portfolio is a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence senior leadership
  • Strategic thinking with a bias for action and execution excellence
  • Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing people
