Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION

This position will require a basic fabrication and welding background and experience.

The primary function of this role will be a variety of fabrication, welding, and tube bender operator duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least (6) six months experience in fabrication/warehousing environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Candidate must demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good math skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,

operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Must be able to perform working conditions which includes standing,

walking or bending for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours.

  • Must be able to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime when necessary to meet business demands.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Measure and cut all sheet metal.
  • Set up all equipment in tube bending and make adjustments as needed.
  • Keep the work area clean and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain high efficiency and keep up with workload.
  • Must have the ability to be open-minded and to continually improve processes.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive winning attitude.
  • Must have a high level of professionalism, maturity, and good judgment.

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ideal candidate will possess problem-solving skills, and dependability and will observe all safety and security guidelines.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with a non-A/C working environment.
  • Must be able to read blueprints to determine measurements and operate the press brake to cut and bend the materials into the shape according to specifications.
  • Must be able to work around mechanical/pneumatic tools and be able to use them.
  • Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols, proper PPE, and the ability to operate safely and effectively.
  • Must be reliable, dependable and have good attendance.
