Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will collaborate with our Design & Technical Directors to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into2D/3Dmodels and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise.Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.

What You Will Do

  • Be able to work independently and with project teams in creating representations of design sketches or developed projects

  • Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.

  • Follow through on designs in construction administration phases of project work

  • Able to research solutions to technical, or artistic, issues when they arise.

  • A good understanding of graphic design and composition

  • Possess strong communication skills, time management, and a self-driven work ethic

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture (or foreign equivalent)

  • 5+ years of full-time experiencein a design firm environment post-graduation

  • Experience in aviation, transportation, or critical facilities

  • Coordination with consultant teams

  • Working knowledge of modeling in 3ds Max or Rhino utilizing Vray.

  • High-level experience translating architects' sketches and CAD documents into realized3Dmodels and images

  • Experience in rendering architecture and interiors with a high level of proficiency

  • Advanced computer skills must include Revit, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, andSketchUp.

  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.

  • Knowledge or proficiency in Building Information Modeling

  • In pursuit of licensure
