Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Oversees the operational and compliance aspects for Physician Services Point of Care testing under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Director. Performs duties of Medical Technologist in accordance with the Medical Technologist Job Description.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Knowledge of clinical laboratory functions, practices and procedures acquired through a Baccalaureate degree or Associates degree and certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ASCP, NCA) is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. In-Depth knowledge of CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements is necessary.
    • License/Certifications: See "Education." Certification by a recognized professional organization (ASCP, NCA) is required.
    • Experience: N/A
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Hospital Information and Laboratory Information systems. Ability to build tests, troubleshoot, train and write procedures. Excellent communication and training skills are required.
    • Working knowledge of laboratory regulations, Joint Commission standards, and CAP/CLIA regulations required.
    • Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend
    • Must be able to travel among company sites.
