Job Description
Job Objective:
Working under general supervision, carry out a range of technical tasks, including analysis and data input, to support the maintenance of a GIS system and a PODS database. Employ these resources to produce data, maps, and reports.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain pipeline data within a PODS database.
  • Read & interpret pipeline alignment sheets, facility drawings, and survey information.
  • Provide GIS-related maps and information to various departments including Business Development, Integrity, and Operations.
  • Produce pipeline maps and data to comply with state-specific requirements, such as Texas RRC T-4 and NM PRC/OCD.
  • Work with field supervisors, engineers, project managers, and external partners to fulfill GIS, regulatory, integrity, and operational requirements.
  • Digitize and maintain structure polygons for use in gas pipeline class locations studies.
  • Associate source documents from a document management system with database records.
  • Generate maps and analyses for jurisdictional determinations.
  • Offer exceptional service and resources, fostering positive relationships with state/government bodies, colleagues, and the public.
  • Provide onsite training on GIS related applications.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.

  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of work experience performing GIS duties utilizing ArcMap & ArcGIS Pro software.
  • Familiarity with New Century Software's Data Management Suite preferred.
  • Working experience with geo-databases, KMZ/KML files, centerline editing, annotation, data conversion, geo-referencing, and spatial analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Available to travel 10% of time.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college in Geosciences or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
