This Jeffersons distillery is a new construction build. The Operations Site Coordinator will support construction, start-up, and commissioning activities during those phases of the project.

After construction, this role will be a key driver for continuous improvement, production optimization, and employee engagement. This unique role is designed to be hands-on in the daily operations of the site from warehouse inventory, picking up equipment parts, ordering lunch to paying invoices with numerous duties in between. Position Summary

The Lebanon Distillery Operations Site Coordinator is responsible for the administrative, engagement, reporting, and communication component support and will be part of the leadership team at the Pernod Ricard distillery in Lebanon, KY. They will report directly to the Site Director with dotted line reporting to the HR Business Partner and will be "utility player" throughout the facility, supporting the business in a wide range of activities. This will include being HR support for the staff, coordination with the Controller & Planner, Team Leads, Operations Manager, Engineering & Maintenance Manager, and Governance Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive a culture of safety ownership, with a continuous focus on improving safe work practices.
  • Support the introduction and sustainment of continuous improvement processes and methodology.
  • Identify, prioritize and provide resources to assist the site in meeting site goals and objectives.
  • Support diverse, highly engaged, salaried site staff responsible for all aspects of distillation, by-product removal, and warehousing operations for continuous operations in a safe, quality-focused atmosphere.
  • While this role is normally dayshift Monday through Friday, due to the 24-7 schedule of the overall site, it will require periodically being on call or being onsite during alternative hours.
  • Supports site for HR related activities and works with HR business partners as well as other site coordinators and administrators to facilitate communication, community engagement, sitewide employee activities, town hall events, visitors, etc.
  • Support the Custom Single Barrel program with labels and shipping of samples as needed.
  • Support Contract Distillation with sample shipping.
  • Assist with the hiring and onboarding process of new employees. Activities to include, but not limited to; recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, compliance.
  • Purchase order creation and payment management including support on capital expenditure projects.
  • Coordinates, communicates and tracks training compliance (training records) activities across the site.
  • Lead coordination and budgeting development & ownership for plant engagement initiatives at the site, including brand ambassador events, committees, and town halls. Support brand home with cross-coordination of events.
  • Prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Monitors operations department to help pivot around bottlenecks and streamline cost/efficiency drivers.
  • Responsible for the tracking and publishing of inventory numbers.
  • Participates in site Gemba Walks and supports improvement/efficiency actions.
  • Contributes to strategic planning of existing and new product introductions to ensure production optimization.
  • Responsible for liaising with the operations department to determine constraints and capacities to optimize plant resources while supporting production and customer service needs.
  • Anticipates and prepares materials needed for trade shows, conferences, correspondence, appointments, and meetings.
  • Greets site visitors and is first point of contact for inquiries from the public. Provides visitor and event support as needed (e.g. setting up catering/meals, coordination of vendors).
  • Supports leadership team with follow-up on action items as well as leading/scheduling/coordination of some vendors such as facilities, janitorial
  • Maintains site calendar (visitors, events, celebrations, vacations, out-of-office, holidays).
  • In partnership with site risk manager - coordinates, communicates and tracks compliance activities across the site.
  • Lead KPI tracking and focused / continuous improvement activities, including taking on CI projects.
  • Contribute to sensory taste panel for distillate and maturate.
  • Develop and execute budget for site supplies pertaining to office or as needed.
  • Demonstrates a desire to learn and understand the whiskey production process in order to best support team members. May be called upon to assist with various operational activities as business needs dictate.
  • Support leadership and provide ownership on compliance with site and company safety goals and initiatives. This includes ownership of personal safety and responsibility.
  • Work transversally with other Pernod sites to share knowledge and learnings.
  • Be an ambassador for the brand and for Pernod Ricard.

Qualifications

- Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field. Will consider military with relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources or Site Administrator role in an operations environment preferred but not required.
  • Experience developing schedules and managing budgets.
  • E1 or related system experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have an intense sense of ownership and a strong desire to understand the entire bourbon process.

  • Proficient computer literacy with ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, must be able to establish rapport with all team members.
  • Self-motivated, driven to see a task through to completion.
  • Must be detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, agile and flexible environment with changing priorities.

The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky is $56,200.00 to $77,200.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
