JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description Overview

You will work as part of a virtual Sales Engineering team who will use internal mentors to continually improve upon existing knowledge and experience. The candidate will develop the skills required to propose and demonstrate the Commvault suite of products through the use of remote demos, white board, presentations.

What you'll do...

  • Leverage internal mentors to continually improve upon existing knowledge and experience
  • Develop the technical skills needed to propose and demonstrate the Commvault suite of products through the use of remote demos, white board, presentations, etc.
  • Assist the Inside SE team to facilitate a high level of coverage for the sales organization. Common tasks would be creation of architecture visios, assistance with RFP responses, and technical research
  • Work with Commvault's internal systems and databases to ensure pertinent customer sales, environment, and contact data is collected
  • Develop specific areas of expertise in complementary technologies (e.g. virtualization, storage infrastructure, deduplication, DevOps, containers) in addition to maintaining broad core product skills. Participate in internal and 3rd party training opportunities
  • Work with internal departments (sales, support, marketing, development), as appropriate, to ensure success during sales campaigns and/or to ensure the customer experience is extremely positive
  • Assist with development of toolkits and systems to facilitate knowledge transfer and efficiency

Who you are...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering
  • Entry level sales engineering program
  • Some practical IT experience is extremely beneficial, but not a requirement
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of IT concepts with an emphasis in data protection, networking, storage and systems administration
  • Ability to articulate and effectively convey complicated ideas through verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms and server applications
  • Ability to work as a contributing member in a geographically diverse, dynamic, and cohesive team with a focus on collaboration technologies like Zoom, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to review and retain large amounts of information and incorporate that data into subsequent training activities
  • A clearly demonstrated track record of self-motivation and an ability to succeed with diverse workloads
  • Onsite 3 times per week

Thank you for your interest in Commvault. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, and within the below base salary range:

$51,000 - $97,800
