The Nurse Anesthetist is responsible for providing patient care and support during general, regional or monitored anesthesia care, and is responsible for patient safety while under anesthesia. The CRNA works with the staff anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical staff to provide safe and evidenced based care to patients and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license by Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Active through Minnesota Board of Nursing
• Credentialed through National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within orientation period.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or Doctorate Nursing Practice Degree or equivalent
• Advanced problem solving skills and/or techniques
• Knowledge of principles of management and the change process
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability and desire to develop effective working relationships within and outside of the Anesthesia Department
• Knowledge of current anesthesia practice and policies
• Ability to assess caregiver competence in the clinical setting
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Epic, myLearning, Outlook
