Job Description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Clinical Support Technician to join our Pulmonary & Sleep team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Based in the Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic, on the Methodist hospital campus in St Louis Park, our Pulmonary & Sleep Clinic team is an incredibly dynamic, disciplined, forward thinking, busy & fun group of people! This position offers the chance to work directly with our patients, not only the team of nurses & other clinical support techs, but also our medical providers, respiratory therapists & sleep educators. The team supports over 20 pulmonary & sleep providers & can see upwards of 130 patients per day, both in-person & virtually.

Our clinic services all manner of lung & sleep disorders/diagnoses, with 5 pulmonary labs performing all types of breathing tests. The clinical support tech duties include, but are not limited to, rooming patients, check in calls for both virtual & in-person patient appointments, administrative tasks, pre-visit planning (including obtaining images from outside locations to be available for the visit) & CPAP downloads. This is a very strong team, looking for equally strong candidates to join & help grow the department. Full orientation & training will be provided for all aspects of the clinical support tech position within the clinic.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
    • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
    • On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
    • Must maintain skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
    • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
    • Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.
    • Strong clinical and human relations skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.
    • Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care setting
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Computer skills preferred.
