HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR TEAM(Overview & Key Responsibilities):

The Inventory Control Specialist will return and reconcile goods on work orders. This position will complete system transfers of products and raw materials between locations. The employee ensures inventory accuracy of raw materials and finished goods through the cycle counting system and analyze and remediate transaction problems.

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech "Team Ground Rules" and Mission Statement.
  • Return and reconcile goods on work orders (PWTs).
  • System transfers of products/raw materials between locations business unit location and 3rd parties as needed.
  • Maintain the cycle counting procedures on a daily basis that assures a minimum of twenty items are counted as a daily average.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies to resolve routine problems.
  • Coordinate the rework process for New Hope to assure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate the process to address slow moving inventory in the New Hope location.
  • Periodically evaluate and update Shipping, Receiving and Inventory work instructions and procedures to ensure that they are current and reflect any changes.
  • Apply 5S throughout your work area and utilize lean methods for reducing waste and improving processes.
  • Provide an emphasis on safety to ensure compliance with all pertinent government regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Minimal travel required for this position.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training:

  • Forklift experience.
  • Must have thorough understanding of inventory principles and concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and attention to details.
  • General Quality & Safety Awareness.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all shipping documents.

Technology/Equipment:

  • Inventory Management System (JDE).
  • Computer Software experience using Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word and understanding of WMS.
