POSITION SUMMARY

As a Safco Territory Sales Manager, you will be an integral member of our growing team, responsible for the development and execution of annual sales plans that deliver strategic market growth. This position is responsible for establishing a sustainable base of business through direct sales efforts, account development, account management and dealer development. You will work closely with Safco's Leadership Team to increase Safco's brand awareness and market share in support of a broad range of market driven product solutions. This positions reports to a Dealer Sales Manager and works remotely in Michigan supporting our Michigan and Northern New York territories.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Relationship Management:
    • Define and execute sales plans and actions to achieve annual sales and profit metrics
    • Drive account and dealer development activities
    • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports, and action plans to drive sales growth
    • Develop strong relationships with partners including dealer sales representatives (DSRs), designers, specifiers, and facilities managers
    • Define annuity and new business objectives that align with Safco's annual growth objectives
    • Develop meaningful A&D relationships
    • Serve as a product knowledge resource
    • Serve as a Safco brand ambassador to the market
    • Forecast and plan monthly and annual account goals, including, but not limited to, financial and operational performance goals
  • New Account Acquisition & Business Development:
    • Identify major project opportunities and plan actions to drive sales
    • Establish a consistent management frequency with key dealers, specifiers, and customers
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements that support Safco's partnership mentality
    • Identify market and sales opportunities that align with Safco's core product offering and services
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in the furniture industry
  • A proven "hunter" mentality and a history of identifying new opportunities and driving them to conclusion
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on strategy in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and organize workload
  • Meticulous and organized
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time or more as needs require
